ASU Urban System Sustainability Assessment The Urban System Sustainability Assessment (USSA) is a project by Arizona State University's Urban Sustainability Lab, developed by Daniel Burillo, Mikhail Chester PhD, and Ram Pendyala PhD supported by Google. USSA currently includes emissions from 4 major urban systems in Los Angeles County for each year from 2000 to 2008: Vehicle Travel, Building Electricity Use, Roadway Infrastructure, and Building Infrastructure. All 16 combinations of system emissions are viewable in the map below as emissions densities per square meter and percent change since 2000 in 2,341 Census Tract regions.
